Packing Up and Moving Out

This is a memoir I scribbled on my notebook on 19th April 2014, while I was in Bhuj, Gujarat. I had to leave my journey unfinished and return home after Gujarat to help with my sisters marriage.

Although the dream of traveling India is unfulfilled, I still consider this journey a successful one, because I found what I was looking for. But that calls for another article.

I like to think that there is a plan in all the random things I do. Truth be told, I am not a man with a plan. I know what I want or part of what I want and the rest always evens out for me. This is the story of how every piece fell in the right place for me and how I got to start my discovery of India.

50 Shades of Letting Go

Last April I set out on a journey without having any plans on when to return or where to go to. I was dealing with some stuff and wanted an escape. A journey that was soon to become the best trip of my life (so far). Little did I know at that time.

It all started in my 6th grade when this guy, Aswin A. Mohan came into my school and found a place right in front of me. We clicked. This March, I went to Manipal in Karnataka, with some of my friends to hangout with this guy I knew from Cochin, Kittu Jayaraj. Kittu was doing his graduation and ever since he got to Manipal, he has been inviting us to come over and enjoy the delicacies of the town.

24.

So I turned 24 yesterday, the 14th. As with most birthdays, it was quiet and nice. Church, early in the morning, cake, payasam (cheru payar, my fav kind) and lots of TV.

I had turned off my birthday on Facebook, so wishes came mostly only from close friends, and of course family. My sister made me this card which she delivered at 00:00 precisely. Family is important, family is everything, right?

Got Featured On Malayala Manorama

Here is some old news, just for the record. ‘Old’ not because the News isn’t relevant anymore, but because I was too lazy busy to write it up here and you probably know about it by other means. Me and my start-up got featured on the Malayala Manorama News Paper.

( For some of my international readers (at least I like to think so), Malayala Manorama is the largest circulated regional daily news paper in India. )
