Bringing Home A Taste Of Hyderabad

My good friend Lucky Murari got married recently and that took me to his hometown, Hyderabad.

The last time I went to Hyderabad was during my 12th grade when our batch went on a 6 day pleasure trip.

A lot has changed since then. The current state of Telengana was still part of Andra Pradesh. You might find this hard to believe, I disliked travel back then and hated train journeys even more.

Packing Up and Moving Out

This is a memoir I scribbled on my notebook on 19th April 2014, while I was in Bhuj, Gujarat. I had to leave my journey unfinished and return home after Gujarat to help with my sisters marriage.

Although the dream of traveling India is unfulfilled, I still consider this journey a successful one, because I found what I was looking for. But that calls for another article.


I like to think that there is a plan in all the random things I do. Truth be told, I am not a man with a plan. I know what I want or part of what I want and the rest always evens out for me. This is the story of how every piece fell in the right place for me and how I got to start my discovery of India.

25 Year Old Boy

Wordsworth said, “Poetry is the spontaneous overflow of powerful feelings: it takes its origin from emotion recollected in tranquility”.

On the night of my 25th birthday, this September 14th, I was hanging with a few friends and late into the night, I found a corner and I took on a voyage through my past. I must have found serenity, because I came up with some of the best poems I have ever written.

Kittu Jayaraj. The Nicest Guy I Know.

Every now and then when we hear someone say “Life is only once, so live it up”, or “Live each day like it is your last”, we safely ignore the obvious and tell ourselves that we have time. No, not quite literally, but deep inside we tend to believe that we are gonna be around for a bit. At least for me, it won’t be the same anymore.

This March, I went to Manipal in Karnataka, with some of my friends to hangout with this guy I knew from Cochin, Kittu Jayaraj. Kittu was doing his graduation and ever since he got to Manipal, he has been inviting us to come over and enjoy the delicacies of the town.
